Casting Spotlight
The History Channel is wrapping up on their new miniseries, “The Wars.” The miniseries is a docu-drama that will tell the story of the key world leaders through the epic events of WWI and WWII, including Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill. Our talent, Dimitrios S. #84669, was booked as a background artist for the role of a soldier.
The series is being produced by Stephen David Entertainment, a nominee and winner of multiple 2013 Emmy Awards, and was shot along the East coast as well as overseas in Germany. The History Channel is well known for shows such as Pawn Stars, Gangland, and American Pickers among many others.
Hearing back from Dimitrios after his shoot, the soldiers were given props like rifles and tommy guns. The actors had mud and dirt smeared over their uniforms, arms, and faces. For special effects, a smoke machine emitted a haze of fog over the premise that gave a strangely eerie realness to the shoot. An abandoned building with debris and rubble around along with a rainy, cloudy shoot day completed his day on set.
