I was scouted by Nine9 in early May and was invited in for an evaluation. They said I had a lot of potential and wanted me to become a talent. Unfortunately my dad was against it. First of all I would like to give a praise and glory to god. I am 22 years old and have been trying to become amodel since I was 17 years old. My name is Malaya and I am a new fresh face in the industry. Since joining Nine9, I have had several casting calls. My first one was with DrJays.com and it was such a great experience. The following day I had a casting call with Juice Images. All of these happen within one week of signing with Nine9. I came into my open cast call not knowing how things would end up. I've been with Nine9 for about 5 months, and things couldn't be better! I've already done two fashion shows, and I just recently had my first photo shoot. This is all that I hoped for and I can't wait for the new things to come!

I really love what I do and am so happy to be studying and acting. I was cast in 2 films, one is almost finished and the second will be starting soon. I performed Shakespeare at Bard at the Bar in honor of William Shakespeare. I played Gertrude, the Queen in Hamlet. I have danced in videos. As a model, I did many fashion shows and spokes modeling. I have also done commercial work. Life is so beautiful.
