Chaz Xavier Talent ID # 3082 was accepted to join Nine9 on March 30, 2004. He had always wanted to get in the business but never knew how. One day, his friend Tisha, a professional model, recommended Nine9 to Chaz. He came to an open call and was accepted immediately. His first job came quickly. He walked the runway as a presentation model for Redken 5th Avenue NYC. After the show Chaz knew that it was time to start taking the industry seriously. He heeded the advice of the Office Director at Nine9 which helped point him in the right direction. The staff helped him understand how to go about getting noticed by agencies and made sure he worked with a fashion photographer. He shot with a well known fashion photographer and immediately updated his comp card on the Nine9 site. By using the site, Chaz submitted his comp card to the following agencies in Michigan: Talent Shop, I Group, Affiliated Group, and Productions Plus. He is now signed with all four and is very busy working. He just finished modeling for a national brochure for Circuit City ($75/hour), a national brochure for Dodge Magnum ($400 flat rate for 1 ½ hours plus $1600 when distributed), an auto show audition for Toyota/Scion, and a Motor City Casino commercial ($750 day) which will air for two years with possible residuals. Chaz is now on his way to Los Angeles to meet the same Talent Scout who put Tyrese and Naughty by Nature on the map. He will be shopping Chaz to various modeling agencies. Chaz says, "If it wasn't for Nine9, I would not be on my way into the talent industry." Congratulations Chaz!
